University of São Paulo’s law school dean on building the classroom of the future

The history of Brazil is intertwined with that of the law school Faculdade de Direito do Largo de São Francisco. Founded by a decree from Brazil’s emperor Dom Pedro I on 11 August 1827, and incorporated into the University of São Paulo in 1934, SanFran, as it is kindly known, has played a role in many of the main political and social events in the country, from the struggle to end slavery to the more recent defence of democracy.
