Vale and Anglo American sign agreement involving highly strategic asset in Minas Gerais

In a highly strategic agreement, Vale has relinquished control of the Serpentina mining project in Minas Gerais to Anglo American in exchange for a 15% stake in Minas Rio, a company encompassing Anglo American’s operation in the region.
Serpentina hosts 4.3 billion tons of iron ore. The asset is particularly attractive due to its premium quality and high demand, as it requires fewer carbon emissions to process.
